End of Life Program Officer

The End of Life Program Officer (part time) is responsible for identifying strategic opportunities for the Foundation to make a difference on end of life issues in Minnesota through grantmaking and other activities. The position manages the grantmaking process for our End of Life Program, including refining and executing the grantmaking strategy, as well as establishing and maintaining relationships on behalf of the Foundation with grantee partners and other key constituents. The program officer is responsible for identifying potential grant investments; investigating, evaluating, and recommending grant requests; monitoring grants; evaluating grant results; and sharing overall learnings and impact. The position will serve as a credible source of information on end-of-life issues, including but not limited to advance care planning, medical issues around end-of-life, care of the elderly, and faith and spirituality surrounding end-of-life issues. The position will also represent the Foundation at various meetings concerning end-of-life issues, including facilitating convenings of grantee partners.
This quarter-time (approximately 10 hours/week) position has a compensation range of $21,000-28,000 based on experience and qualifications.
