Judy Thompson

Judy Thompson (she/her/hers) is retired as executive director of Kettering Family Philanthropies in Dayton, Ohio, where she managed three different foundations affiliated with the same family. Previous positions included serving as interim president of Ohio Grantmakers Forum, the regional membership association of over 200 grantmakers, and 17 years at The Dayton Foundation, having begun as a part-time program officer and retiring as executive vice president. Her current community involvement includes board service on County Corp, and on the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts’ Advisory Committee at Wright State University. Previous volunteer affiliations include board service for the United Way of the Greater Dayton Area, the Montgomery County Arts and Cultural District, and Wright Memorial Public Library.

She has a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Humanities from Wright State University. Among her awards, Judy was recognized a one of the “Top Ten Women” in the Miami Valley in 2000. A native Daytonian, Judy resides in Oakwood. She has been married to husband Tom for over 50 years, and they have two grown sons, their respective daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren.
